KRZYZEWSKIVILLE 2015

KRZYZEWSKIVILLE 2015 is a limited edition lithograph from an original gouache (opaque water color) painting that was completed just before the Duke-UNC game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Krzyzewskiville 2015 features the tent village where Duke University students live for several weeks, in order to gain admittance to the most contested basketball game of the season.

The COACH 1K Rock commemorates Mike Krzyzewski becoming the first (and only) NCAA coach to achieve 1000 Division 1 basketball career victories.

The sign showing 1005 wins refers to the number of Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s wins just prior to the Duke-UNC game this year. The Duke Blue Devils beat the UNC Tar Heels in Cameron Indoor Stadium, and went on to win the NCAA National Championship in Indianapolis on April 6, 2015 – the 5th time for the Duke Blue Devils and Coach K.

There are 1018 signed and numbered prints – one for each of Coach Krzyzewski’s wins at the end of the 2015 season.

Medium: Limited edition lithograph, printed with fade-resistant inks on acid-free paper.

Size: Image size is 15″ x 11″.
